Please join and participate in the WT
Woodson (WTW) Parent Teacher Student Organization. We meet
monthly (every 2nd Tuesday, starting at 7:00 p.m. in the Library) to hear the principal's report and discuss events being hosted by
the PTSO.
WHAT DOES THE PTSO DO?
-
Find and organize parent volunteers for
the school.
-
Raise money for student-focused
activities, such as for equipment for school clubs, music programs and
classes. Recently, we awarded $20,000.00 in response to
requests from teachers, school clubs and other school programs.
-
Publish the monthly school newsletter
and WEMail.
-
Print the WTW Student Directory.
-
Produce the Cavalier Cruise all-night
graduation party.
-
Educate parents and students on the
dangers of illegal drug use and drinking (WTW Coalition)
-
Hold monthly meetings to discuss
current issues affecting our school with administrators, teachers and
parents.
-
Support our school faculty and let them
know how much we value their work.
HOW CAN YOU HELP?
-
Join and participate in the PTSO.
-
Donate money to fund requests for
assistance from teachers, and school programs and clubs.
-
Give of your time and skills.
Parent volunteers are critical to the many outside the classroom
activities. Tell us how you want to help by using the PTSO Database -- select your name,
and click the Volunteer button.
-
Stay informed and in touch by reading the
newsletter and buying a student directory.
-
Sign the Parent Agreement stating that
you will chaperone students in your home to prevent illegal use of drugs
and alcohol.
